Sakia was taken into our facility at Forever Wild in June of 2002 from
Texas. She had a very rough first part of her life that gave her not
only scarring on the outside but also on the inside. We were told by
the 3rd party that took her in before we could get to her, she was used
for a roadside photobooth.
Due to her past experiences, she is easily stressed. She
prefers the safe comforts of her home at the sanctuary. If she is taken
away for any reason, she gets stressed to the point of becoming
extremely ill. While in her compound at Forever Wild, she is very
outgoing and friendly. We estimate her to be about 12 years of age.
Sakia will no long ever have to worry about being taken care off ever
again. She has a permanent home here where we will care for her for the
rest of her life.
Sakai and Mia share an enclosure and are very happy together.
