MEEC’s EnviroBus Buck Transportation Grant Program

The EnviroBus Buck Transportation Grant Program provides grants for school bus excursions, offering students the opportunity to learn about environmental education using a hands-on approach during visits to host sites which promote environmental stewardship.  Consideration will be given to all qualifying applications and only one grant per teacher per year will be awarded unless after Dream Site considerations there are still remaining funds available to award multiple grants to a single teacher that has met all the requirements.

MEEC in now accepting applications for the 2014/2015 school year.

Applications can be downloaded then sent via standard mail, scan/email, or by fax.

Eligible educators must teach within the High Desert portion of San Bernardino County, the Palo Verde Valley of Riverside County or the High Desert region of North Los Angeles County, including the cities of Lancaster and Palmdale.

Guided tours can be scheduled as early as 10am 

Teachers book your yearly class tours early and be sure your bus service comes to us.  If not  check with Hesperia District Buses and First student Buses as they do drive to us.

Extreme Feed

AN EXPERIENCE LIKE NO OTHER!


For only $5 per Child (17 & under) and $10 per Adult you can feed one of the many of our big cats (Please note you will not be one on one with the cat, a feeding tool is used.) Big Cats involved in feeding vary and you may not get to feed the specific cat you request.  (check out online coupon with supply of the month)

Bleach, Simple green, paper towels, trash bags thick yard size and kitchen size, latex gloves, Windex, white vinegar, pine-sol, mop heads the stringy kind to slip onto mop, Lysol, spray bottles, hay and parrot food, straw for bedding, dish soap and liquid hand soap.  All is tax deductible and would greatly be appreciated.  Gift cards and cash is always welcome too =-) Check out our   Wish List  for all items needed.

Work parties

If you would like to get a group together for a work-party please let us know and we can arrange a date.

Help beautify, maintain and improve our animals lovely home. A little bit of elbow grease can go a very long way. Bring tools, supplies, your lunch and a smile. Donations are always welcomed things like yard tools and cleaning supplies are always needed. We also desperately need pruning shears, weed whackers and  a chain saw. Work parties available by request for school, work or an organized group.  Call us at (760) 490-3338.    Please note working directly with animals is not permitted.
